VP, Creative Brand Strategist

You Are Here (YAH) is looking for an experienced vice president of creative brand strategy to lead our agency’s strategy department. In January of 2019, three Atlanta-based agencies came together as YAH. We’ve combined 30+ years of creative, sponsorship, activation and digital technology expertise to form an experience agency focused solely on improving brands’ relationships with consumers.

As a part of this new agency, we are creating a strategy department that works alongside our creative and analytics teams to tell better brand stories. You will lead this effort. The expectation of our strategy department is to assist the client and creative teams to deliver world-class marketing solutions that drive increased business for our clients.   • Represent the client’s customers in client meetings and present research/strategy findings
  • Lead the development and implementation of powerful primary qualitative and quantitative research designed to address client business issues and gain insights into target audiences
  • Develop audience insights through in-depth research leveraging 3rd party data, secondary tools and collaborating on primary research (including audience segmentation/persona development)
  • Craft the creative brief – collaborate and work in partnership with creative teams to get the insights and positioning right from the beginning and ensure ideas will resonate with desired target audiences
  • Work in partnership with client teams to map out the customer journey, go-to-market and content/messaging strategy
  • Partner with the analytics team to determine measures of success
  • Work to unearth both timely and timeless truths to ensure our campaigns resonate
  • Participate in new business development
  • Lead, mentor and cross train junior strategy and planning staff to create the next generation of creative brand strategists


  • Excellent reasoning ability: Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based upon information furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • 6-8 years of experience in Brand Planning, Creative Strategy or other relevant capacity
  • Proven track record of providing compelling insights that drive high-performance creative
  • Ability to effectively present research results to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to lead meetings
  • Strong ability to collaborate across internal, external and client-side resources is a must
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills across a broad collection of strategic planning functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working on large, integrated B2C & B2B campaigns that flourish and drive proven results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
