Business Development Lead

The right candidate for this role is expected to be well connected, identify and pursue new business opportunities both tactfully and strategically. This position will be able to use his/her current depth of knowledge of digital, marketing and technology, along with a swiftly-acquired knowledge of Cooper Holdings and all of its subsidiaries, case studies, current business and strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Helping to define and develop a new business strategy tailored to the needs of the company
  • Proactively initiating new client relationships
  • Following up on new business leads and identifying organic growth opportunities
  • Prioritizing opportunities
  • Defining new business processes and managing that process in conjunction with the companies Presidents.
  • Contributing to capabilities presentations and other marketing materials
  • Developing and maintaining a client and prospect database
  • Leveraging existing partnerships and developing new ones
  • Leading internal new business meetings and agency updates
  • Working with the agency management team to meet overall agency vision and objectives

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development preferably in an agency setting
  • Previous marketing or business development experience with large Fortune 500/1000 companies marketing/ advertising agency or creative service/consulting business with digital at the core
  • Proven track record of developing successful relationships
  • Confirmed and proven record of closing major accounts/deals
